The aforementioned Combat Zone is infamous for being the NCPD's drop-off spot for the worst cyberpsycho cases, which are so dangerous that even MaxTac has refused to enter the area (up until Phantom Liberty DLC, at least). If Militech is destroyed in the Phantom Liberty DLC, it could mean nationwide domination for the Japanese corporation - and the reverse could end up being true, as well.Įven though cyberpsychos aren't what they appear to be in Cyberpunk 2077, it looks like V will be dealing with no shortage of them, given the Phantom Liberty DLC's setting.
In Cyberpunk history, Militech is the only power keeping Arasaka in check in Night City. This would be a much less drastic ending compared to the NUSA's collapse, but it would still have consequences. To describe things between corpos and average NC residents as tense would be an understatement, and so many (including players) might be excited at the prospect of taking down a monolith like Arasaka or Militech. If the NUSA crumbles and fails, this means that it'll be every state for its own, and there will be a massive shift in power in the Cyberpunk universe.Ĭonversely, V's actions could put an end to a different sort of power within Night City corporations. The New United States of America, after all, is the last hope for a unified American nation in this universe, where war, class inequality, and other international events have sent the country into a downward spiral. This would have a tremendous impact on not only Night City and the state of Southern California, where the game takes place but also nationwide, and even globally.
